The NACC Pack Adventures program has reopened!
Dogs are available for adventures 7 days a week. They can be checked out as early as 11:00 AM and need to be back to the shelter by 4:00 PM. In order to check a dog out, you can stop by the shelter any day during adventure hours. The shelter staff will have you sign a waiver, review some basic rules, and make a copy of your ID. (Must be 18 years or older to participate)
The NACC Pack Adventures Program will not run on days where the weather conditions do not allow for safe field trips. These conditions include but are not limited to:
- Temperatures above 90 degrees or below 48 degrees
- Any time the forecast calls for thunder or lightning storms
- When there is an active severe weather alert issued for the Hampton Roads area
Due to a (fantastic!) increased interest in this program, the shelter cannot guarantee there will always be dogs available for field trips.
