Billing Notice

Due to recent delays with the City’s meter reading vendor, some customers' billing periods that are usually 28-36 days have increased to 45 days or more. Some residents may receive a larger-than-normal bill due to the increased number of days in the extended billing period. If this causes financial hardship, customers may contact the Department of Utilities to request an extension or payment plan by calling (757) 664-6700 or emailing utwainq@norfolk.gov.

Please be advised that individuals may be impersonating City departments and agencies, requesting a deposit or some sort or payment for a service. All official Utilities email correspondence will come from a Norfolk.gov email address, and a deposit is not required to activate water service. If you suspect you are being scammed, or have received a suspicious email, do not click on any links, do not reply, and immediately call (757)-664-6700.
