Road and Lane Closures and Construction Activity for the City of Norfolk
This report includes high impact, new and ongoing road and lane closures in the Downtown area and throughout the city. Unless otherwise indicated, pedestrian access will be maintained. These closures are a result of permits issued and coordinated by the Right-of-Way Management Division and are subject to change.

Milling, Paving, Microsurfacing and Striping Information
(Parking will be removed from these streets; Please watch for posted "No Stopping" signs and avoid parking in these areas.) Milling, Paving, Pavement Markings. Streets will be resurfaced from April through November 30. Currently in Winter Shutdown

Railroad Crossing Replacements
The next Norfolk Southern crossing closure is Ingleside Road and starts on Monday, Aug. 4, at 8 a.m. It will take up to 4 days to complete. The detour plan is attached.
Heading north on Ingleside Road
- Turn right at Cape Henry Avenue
- Turn left at Rush Street
- Turn left at Tait Terrace
- Arrive at Ingleside Road
Heading south on Ingleside Road
- Turn left at Tait Terrace
- Turn right at Rush Street
- Turn right at Cale Henry Avenue
- Arrive at Ingleside Road
Alternate routes:
Chesapeake Boulevard and Princess Anne Road to Sewells Point Road or Azalea Garden Road can be used as alternate routes.
