No kid should go hungry just because it's summer! Several of our Norfolk Public Library locations are serving as host sites for the Summer Food Service Program.

Free summer meals:

  • Monday, June 24 through Thursday, August 23, 2018
  • For all children 18 and younger
  • No registration required
  • No ID required

Barron F. Black Branch  Fridays, 12 PM - 1 PM

Blyden Branch  Mondays - Fridays, 12:30 PM - 2 PM

Horace C. Downing Branch  Fridays, 12 PM - 2 PM

Janaf Branch  Fridays, 12 PM - 1 PM

Jordan-Newby Anchor Branch At Broad Creek  Fridays, 12 PM - 2 PM

Lafayette Branch  Fridays, 11 AM - 12:30 PM

Mary D. Pretlow Anchor Branch  Mondays - Fridays, 12 PM - 1 PM

Meals are provided by the Norfolk Public Schools' department of School Nutrition and meet USDA guidelines. Please note all meals must be eaten on site as per USDA Food Safety Regulations. The Summer Food Service Program is federally funded; the Virginia Department of Education implements the program for our state.
