NORFOLK, Va. (NPD) – Following a ruling by the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner, Detectives are continuing to investigate the death of Lina M. Guerra as a homicide.
While investigating a missing persons case, detectives located an unresponsive woman, who was later identified as Lina M. Guerra, 39, of Norfolk, at a home in the 300 block of E Main Street.
She was pronounced dead at the scene, and the matter was classified an undetermined death pending an official ruling by the Chief Medical Examiner.
The autopsy conducted by the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner on February 10th determined Guerra’s cause of death to be a homicide.
Guerra was reported as a missing person on February 4th.
This remains an ongoing investigation, and Detectives have not released a motive or any additional circumstances surrounding this homicide.
