Get Office Ready!
We've partnered with Norfolk Works to create Office Ready: workplace-focused training for developing or improving Microsoft Office skills.
Upon completion of each four-part series, Office Ready Certified participants will earn a certificate that can be promoted to local employers and used to enhance a resumé. Graduates will also be referred to Norfolk Works to help connect them to local employers and for further job searching assistance.

Microsoft Word 1-4
This program is commonly used to create letters and stationary and is a commonly used tool in many office settings. Participants will gain an understanding of how to perform common workplace tasks using the Microsoft Word 2016 word processing program. During this four-session class, one will learn how to use font & paragraph controls, insert pictures and other objects, add headers and footers, and how to generally create and modify documents using Word.
Microsoft Excel 1-4
This program is commonly used to create budgets, track inventory, and organize large datasets in many office settings. Participants will learn how to perform common workplace tasks using the Microsoft Excel 2016 spreadsheet program. During this four-session class, one will gain he abilities to use font and alignment controls, create basic formulas and functions, manipulate data, and create conditional formatting on a spreadsheet.
Microsoft Outlook 1-2
Microsoft Outlook is a program commonly used in the workplace to manage email accounts, create personal and shared event calendars, and manage work tasks. During this two-session course, participants in the Microsoft Office Outlook training will create an Outlook account, manage email, create folders, organize calendar events, create tasks, and review to-do items.
