Different Voices Book Club

Join us as we read some classic western distopian fiction by Steven King! The Stand, first released in 1978, is set in an apocalyptic vision of a world blasted by plague and tangled in an elemental struggle between good and evil remains as riveting and eerily plausible as when it was first published. Adapted for television in 1994, it's also being remade currently by CBS.

Different Voices is a monthly book club where we discuss sci-fi, fantasy, and fabulist literature by award-winning authors and others you might not have heard of, with a focus on POC, women, and LGTBAQ authors. Previous authors include Octavia Butler, Margaret Atwood, Naomi Alderman, Ian McEwan, and George Saunders.
