Be sure to view the beautiful digital exhibition on the Slover Forum media wall of internationally renowned and award-winning Italian artist, Guglielmo Botter! He began drawing with an ink pen at five-years-old when his father brought home a rapidograph, a specialized instrument used by an engineer, architect, or drafter to make lines of constant width for architectural, engineering, or technical drawings.
Mr. Botter has been traveling throughout the U.S. and drawing significant landmarks of various cities, including Norfolk. His Norfolk highlights are beautiful pen and ink drawings of Slover Library, the Chrysler Art Museum, City Hall, The MacArthur Memorial and Square, The Scope and Chrysler Hall, Spirit of Norfolk, US Post Office and Courthouse, the Bird and Baldwin building, Naval Base Cruises, Nauticus, the USS Wisconsin, The Hunter House, The Attucks Theatre, and Owen B. Pickett U.S. Custom House.
View Guglielmo's original works from July 20th - August 19th, 2018 at the Percolator Art Gallery located on 258 Granby Street. On July 20 from 5-7 p.m., join the Meet the Artist event and Opening Reception of "From Italy to Norfolk" at the Percolator. Mr. Botter will sign and give away a limited number of postcards!
