Norfolk Arts' Arts at the Attucks returns for 2026 with a FREE performance featuring The Academy of Music. Enjoy an inspiring performance by student musicians ages 4 to 18, with adult mentors, featuring classical and contemporary works.
Highlights include a Black Violin-arranged excerpt from Bach's Brandenburg Concertos, duos by Black composers, vocal selections from opera and musical theatre students and a special collaborative performance by the Academy of Music's Suzuki Strings and Harps on Fire in partnership with Norfolk Public Schools.

Come early and experience "Black Voices & Visions," the inaugural exhibit at the Gallery at the Attucks, a new visual arts space within the Attucks Theatre dedicated to celebrating creativity, community and storytelling. "Black Voices & Visions" is curated by Joan Rhodes-Copeland, executive director of the Aspire Gallery, and features approximately 60 works by Black artists with ties to Hampton Roads.
The Gallery at the Attucks is open to the general public for viewing an hour before all Arts at the Attucks free performances.
