[ARCHIVED] Motorcyclist dies following weekend crash on Granby Street

NORFOLK, Va. (NPD) – Norfolk Police are continuing to investigate a crash that left a motorcyclist dead.

Around 5:10 p.m., on December 13th, first responders were called to the 7700 block of Granby Street for the report of a serious crash involving a motorcycle and a truck. 

When Officers arrived, they found a man suffering from life-threatening injuries. 

The man was transported to a local hospital where he later died from his injuries.  His identity will be released following the notification of a next-of-kin.

The preliminary investigation determined the motorcycle was traveling northbound on Granby Street when it collided with a truck making a turn onto Admiral Taussig Boulevard. 

The driver of the other car involved was not injured during the crash and remained at the scene.
