Following a thorough investigation by the Norfolk Police Department, with assistance from the Naval Criminal Investigative Service (NCIS), it has been determined that an alleged traffic stop in the 8100 block of Hampton Boulevard involving a U.S. sailor did not occur.
“We find it regrettable that the daily efforts of our Police Officers were negatively impacted by false claims made against the organization; however, the Department is grateful for the assistance of the Naval Criminal Investigative Service (NCIS) in determining that these allegations were unfounded,” said Police Chief Mark Talbot
