NORFOLK, Va. (NPD) – Norfolk Police have charged a 23-year-old man following a shooting on Waterside Drive that left another man injured.
On November 23rd, around 2:10 a.m., police responded to the 300 block of Waterside Drive for the report of a gunshot victim. When Officers arrived, they found a 26-year-old man suffering from a life-threatening gunshot wound.
The man was taken to the hospital for treatment.
Following the investigation, detectives charged Lorne S. Bailey Jr., 23, of Hampton, with malicious wounding, four counts of attempted malicious wounding, use of a firearm, shooting in the commission of a felony, discharging a firearm in public, and vandalism.
Bailey was taken into custody in the City of Hampton on November 26th by Norfolk Police with assistance from Hampton Police.
Bailey will be held in the Norfolk City Jail without bond.
