NORFOLK, Va. (NPD) – Norfolk Police have arrested a 31-year-old man following a shooting that happened in the 7900 block of Chesapeake Boulevard last month.
On September 28th, around 2:06 a.m. Officers were dispatched for the report of a gunshot victim. When police arrived, they found a 42-year-old man suffering from a non-life-threatening gunshot wound.
The man was taken to a local hospital to receive medical treatment.
Following the investigation, detectives have charged Nakia L. Evans, 31, of Norfolk, with malicious wounding, use of a firearm, possessing a firearm by felon, carrying concealed, prohibited conduct with a concealed weapon, and two counts of assault.
Evans was taken into custody in the City of Chesapeake on October 23rd around 1:25 p.m. 
He remains in the Norfolk City Jail without bond.
