NORFOLK, Va. (NPD) – Norfolk Police are continuing to investigate a two-vehicle crash that left three people injured Friday.
On October 10 at approximately 4:45 p.m., police responded to the 700 block of Ballentine Boulevard for the report of two-vehicle crash involving a box truck and a pickup truck.
When officers arrived on scene, they encountered three injured parties, all of whom were passengers in the box truck. The driver of that vehicle sustained serious injuries. The driver was transported to Sentara Norfolk General Hospital for further treatment.
The driver and passenger of the second involved vehicle did not report injuries at the scene of the crash.
This investigation is being handled by the Norfolk Police Department's Traffic Fatality Unit.
Investigators say alcohol and speed both appear to be contributing factors.
