NORFOLK, Va. (NPD) – Norfolk Police are continuing to investigate an early morning crash that left a pedestrian injured.
Around 5:30 a.m. on August 20th, police were called to the 7500 block of Tidewater Drive for the report of a pedestrian who had been hit by a car.
When officers arrived, they found a 45-year-old man suffering from life-threatening injuries.
He was taken to the hospital for treatment where he remains.
The driver involved in the crash remained at the scene and was also transported to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
This investigation is being handled by the Norfolk Police Department's Traffic Fatality Unit.
Investigators say alcohol is not considered to be a contributing factor.
