NORFOLK, Va. – (NPD) Norfolk Police are continuing to investigate a shooting in Ocean View that left a man dead.
On August 14th, around 6:20 p.m. police were called to Community Beach Park at 700 E. Ocean View Avenue for the report of a shooting.
Soon after arriving at the scene, Officers were notified by dispatchers that a man had arrived at a local hospital suffering a life-threatening gunshot wound.
Detectives determined the two incidents to be related.
The man, Andrew F. Saafi, 20, of Norfolk, later died at the hospital as a result of his life-threatening injuries.
