[ARCHIVED] NFK2050 Comprehensive Plan – Phase II Open Houses

NORFOLK, VA – The City of Norfolk’s Department of Planning is kicking off Phase II of the NFK2050 Comprehensive Plan update with a series of open houses. These events include engagement stations with kids’ activities and opportunities for residents and stakeholders to provide ideas to improve the City’s housing, economic development, parks, resiliency, transportation, placemaking and more. All seven sessions will be open-house style with a drop-in format.

  • May 29, 4 – 7 p.m., Naval Support Activity Hampton Roads – Sewells Point Golf Course (660 Ruthven Rd.)
  • May 30, 5 – 8 p.m., Crossroads Community Center (8019 Old Ocean View Rd.)
  • May 31, 4 – 7 p.m., COVA Brewing Co. (9529 Shore Dr.)
  • June 1, noon – 3 p.m., Selden Market (208 E. Main St.)
  • June 3, 5 – 8 p.m., Sherwood Forest Community Center (4537 Little John Dr.)
  • June 4, 5 – 8 p.m., Richard Tucker Memorial Library (2350 Berkley Ave.)
  • June 5, 4 – 7 p.m., Poplar Hall Park Picnic Shelter (Curlew Dr.)

These workshops are designed to engage Norfolk’s residents and stakeholders around the NFK2050 Comprehensive Plan and are intended to help understand residents’ needs and their ideas for making the City better.

For those who are unable to attend, an online version of the workshop will be available on the NFK2050 website this summer.
