NORFOLK, Va. (NPD) – Norfolk Police have arrested and charged a man following a shooting that left another man injured.
On March 17th, around 3:10 a.m. dispatchers received a call for a gunshot victim at the Taco Bell business located at 2011 Monticello Avenue. When officers arrived, they found a 36-year-old man suffering from a non-life-threatening gunshot wound.
The man was taken to Sentara Norfolk General Hospital for treatment and is expected to recover.
The preliminary investigation determined two people had been having an altercation in the parking lot when the shooting took place.
As a result, Detectives have charged Jermaine M. McIntosh Jr., 23, of Norfolk, with malicious wounding and use of a firearm.
McIntosh Jr. is currently being held in Norfolk City Jail without bond.
