[ARCHIVED] Man dies following late-night shooting on E. Olney Road

NORFOLK, Va. – (NPD) Norfolk Police are continuing to investigate a shooting that has left a man dead. 

On February 12, 2024, shortly after 11:00 p.m. police responded to the 500 block of E. Olney Road for the report of a gunshot victim. When the Officers arrived, they found Edward K. Collins, 42, of the 300 block of E Olney Road, suffering from a life-threatening gunshot wound. 

Collins was taken to the hospital where he later died as a result of his injuries. 

As detectives are continuing to investigate this homicide, they encourage anyone with information to call the Norfolk Crime Line at 1-888-LOCK-U-UP or submit a tip using the P3Tips mobile app.
