NORFOLK, Va. (NPD) – Norfolk Police are continuing to investigate a crash that left a man dead.
Officers responded to the 3500 block of E Virginia Beach Boulevard, at the intersection of Ingleside Road, around 6:30 a.m. for the report of a car that had hit a flatbed truck that was stopped at a traffic signal.
The driver of the car, identified as Shawn D. Comparto,50, of Chesapeake, died as a result of his life-threatening injuries.
The crash is still under investigation by the Norfolk Police Department’s Auto Squad Unit and Traffic Fatality Team.
