NORFOLK, Va. (NPD) – Detectives have identified the body recovered from the water in the 1500 block of Bayville Street.
On January 8, 2024, around 1:35 p.m. Officers responded to the 1500 block of Bayville Street for the report of a body floating in the waterway. When first responders arrived, they found an unresponsive man, and efforts were made to recover the body from the waterway.
The man, identified as Stephen D. Queen, 63, of Norfolk, was pronounced deceased at the scene.
The official manner and cause of death will be determined by the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner.
No foul play is suspected.
