This program covers topics essential to your success as a City of Norfolk supervisor.  These include managing your team's payroll, overtime and leave; corrective action and performance management; mental health resources through EAP and Anthem; post-vehicle accident; random drug testing; and the substance abuse policy; your role in assisting employees with FMLA, PFL, ADA, short/long-term disability, and worker's compensation as well as additional supervisor training provided by the City of Norfolk.

Networking and relationship building is all about connections. Networking provides an opportunity to build long lasting relationships. Effective relationship building provides opportunities for growth, knowledge and skill sharing which can help both parties reach their goals.  This class will provide tips on how to create and foster these important relationships.

Feedback is crucial part of not only individual success but also organizational success.  This class will cover the benefits of feedback, different feedback methods, and how to receive feedback.  We will also discuss why feedback isn't always given and why we don't always listen to feedback we receive.
