[ARCHIVED] City of Norfolk and Carnival Cruise Line to Make Major Announcement

Following its successful return to Norfolk sailings in 2022, Carnival set to reveal its plans for 2023 and beyond

NORFOLK, VA – Representatives from the City of Norfolk, Carnival Cruise Line and the Half Moone Cruise and Celebration Center at Nauticus will reveal details of an exciting new development that will significantly benefit residents and members of the travel and tourism industry here in the City, throughout Hampton Roads and elsewhere within the region.

 

Members of the media are invited to cover this event in downtown Norfolk starting at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, Nov. 14.

 

 

WHO:                Mayor Kenneth Cooper Alexander, City of Norfolk

                             Chris Chiames, Chief Communications Officer for Carnival Cruise Line

                             Stephen Kirkland, Executive Director of Nauticus

 

WHAT:              Announcement on Carnival’s plans for Norfolk sailings in 2023 and beyond

                            

WHERE:            Half Moone Cruise and Celebration Center at Nauticus

                             One Waterside Drive

                             Media vehicles may park directly in front of Nauticus; limit one vehicle per outlet at this site

 

WHEN:              Monday, Nov. 14

                             Check-in begins at 10:30 a.m.; remarks scheduled for 11:00 a.m.
