[ARCHIVED] Norfolk Health Department Offers COVID-19 Community Testing and Flu Shots

NORFOLK, VA – The Norfolk Department of Public Health, in partnership Faith Deliverance Christian Church and First United Presbyterian Church, will offer free coronavirus (COVID-19) testing and free flu shots on Thursday, November 12, 2020, from 1pm to 3pm at 1010 E 26th Street, in Norfolk.

“With the recent increase of community spread, it is important to get tested for COVID-19 to ensure you are not carrying the virus,” said Norfolk Health Director Dr. Demetria Lindsay. “Also, we are providing free flu vaccinations to prevent community transmission of the influenza virus. This is important as well since the flu season has already started.”

Flu shots and COVID-19 testing are available for anyone age three and up, while supplies last.  Participants in this free event must wear a face covering.  Appointments are recommended for coronavirus testing.  To register for an appointment, visit: http://www.norfolk.gov/covid19testing or call 757-683-2777.
