[ARCHIVED] Man dies following an overnight crash on Chesapeake Boulevard

NORFOLK, Va. (NPD) – Around 12:30 a.m., on October 24, 2020 police responded to the 5700 block of Chesapeake Boulevard for a single vehicle accident.

When officers arrived, they found the driver, later identified as 33-year-old Clayton Fisher, suffering from serious injuries sustained during the crash. Fisher was pronounced deceased at the scene.

The preliminary information has revealed Fisher lost control of his Chevrolet Silverado and hit a tree, causing his vehicle to overturn.

Investigators say both speed and alcohol appear to have been contributing factors to the crash.
