[ARCHIVED] Norfolk Prepares for Weekend Weather

Select city garages open to provide high, dry parking

NORFOLK, VA – City crews are preparing for this weekend’s storm system by cleaning storm drains and ditches to ease potential flooding. In addition, extra crews are on standby throughout the weekend to respond to any issues that arise.   

The City will open garages so that residents can move their vehicles to higher ground. The following garages will open Friday, November 15 at 6:00pm and all vehicles must be removed by 5:00 p.m. Sunday, November 17.

  • Bank Street Garage, 441 Bank Street
  • York Street Garage, 215 West York Street
  • St. Paul’s Lot, 521 Wood Street
