The City of Norfolk’s government offices, including City Hall, libraries and recreation centers, will be closed Monday, December 24, 2018 and Tuesday, December 25, 2018 in observance of the holiday.
NORFOLK, VA – The City of Norfolk’s government offices, including City Hall, libraries and recreation centers, will be closed Monday, December 24, 2018 and Tuesday, December 25, 2018 in observance of the holiday. The closure includes the offices of the Commissioner of the Revenue, DMV Select, City Treasurer and the Consolidated Courts Complex. All offices will reopen at normal business hours on Wednesday, December 26, 2018.
Garbage and recycling collection scheduled for Tuesday, December 25, 2018 will take place on Saturday, December 29, 2018. Requests for bulk waste collection on Wednesday, December 26, 2018 must be made before 3 p.m. on Friday, December 21, 2018. The Household Hazardous Waste and E-waste site will be closed Monday, December 24, 2018 and Tuesday, December 25, 2018. Residents can drop-off unwanted E-waste at the Division of Towing and Recovery located at 1188-A Lance Road, 24-hours a day and seven days a week.
