[ARCHIVED] Police respond to car crash, find man with gunshot wound inside vehicle

NORFOLK, Va. (NPD) – Police are investigating a homicide after officers responding to a car crash on East Little Creek Road found a man with a gunshot wound.

Shortly after 9:30 p.m., police responded to a single vehicle crash in the 200 block East Little Creek Road. When police and medics arrived, they found a man inside a vehicle suffering from a gunshot wound.

Medics transported the man to Sentara Norfolk General Hospital, where he died.

The preliminary investigation has revealed the man was shot in the 7900 block of Orchid Avenue and was found inside a vehicle in the 200 of E. Little Creek.

The man’s identity will be released once his family has been notified.
