NORFOLK, Va. (NPD) – Norfolk police and fire-rescue responded to a medical call for service late Sunday morning that left a man in critical condition.
Shortly after 11:30 a.m., dispatchers received a call concerning a man that had fallen from a balcony in the 1300 block of Bayville Court. When police and fire-rescue arrived, a 24-year-old man was located with what has been described as life-threatening injuries. First aid was administered on scene and the man was flown by Nightingale Regional Air Ambulance to Sentara Norfolk General Hospital for further treatment.
The Norfolk Police Department’s Homicide Unit is leading the investigation. At this time, the preliminary investigation suggests no foul play was involved; however, the case remains active and police encourage anyone with information about this incident to contact the Norfolk Crime Line at 1-888-LOCK-U-UP.
