NORFOLK, Va. (NPD) – A man was rushed to a local hospital Tuesday
night in Norfolk after being seriously injured in a shooting.
Shortly before 8:50 p.m., dispatchers received a gunshot
disturbance call in the 100 block of East Gilpin Avenue. When police and paramedics arrived, they
found a man suffering from an apparent gunshot wound. He was quickly transported to Sentara Norfolk
General Hospital with a life-threatening injury.
After searching the area for clues, detectives have determined
the shooting occurred in the 9300 block of Granby Street.
Investigators have not released any further details, or motive,
surrounding the shooting; however, they encourage anyone with information to
