[ARCHIVED] Double shooting leaves two hospitalized, two detained

NORFOLK, Va. (NPD) – Norfolk police continue to canvass for evidence following a shooting incident Saturday evening.

Shortly before 11:00 p.m., Norfolk emergency dispatchers received reports of shots fired in the 5700 block of Bartee Street.  Upon arrival, officers located two people suffering from apparent gunshot wounds.  Medics transported both victims from the scene to Sentara Norfolk General Hospital.  The victims, confirmed to be 15-year-old boys, are being treated for what appears to be non-life threatening injuries.

An adult male and a juvenile male were taken into police custody at the scene.  Both are believed to have been involved in the shooting, which resulted from an isolated incident between the parties.
