[ARCHIVED] Man dies following shooting in Ocean View

NORFOLK, Va. – (NPD) NORFOLK, Va. – (NPD) A 29-year-old man is charged in connection with a shooting in Ocean View that has left another man dead.

On November 25th, around 8:00 p.m., police were dispatched to the Tinee Giant parking lot located at 123 W Ocean View Avenue for the report of a shooting. When the officers arrived, they found a man, identified as Tyrone J. Walker, 27, of Norfolk, suffering from a life-threatening gunshot wound. 

Soon after, a second man, Trevonte G. Dugue, 29, of Norfolk, was found suffering from a life-threatening gunshot wound in the 1800 block of E Ocean View Avenue. It was determined his injuries had occurred during the shooting at 123 W Ocean View Avenue.

Both men were transported to Sentara Norfolk General Hospital, where Walker later died from his injuries on November 29th

Dugue has been charged with second-degree murder and use of a firearm. He is currently being held in Norfolk City Jail without bond.
