NORFOLK, Va. – The City of Norfolk invites residents to honor the service and sacrifice of our nation’s veterans with the annual Veterans Day Ceremony on Tuesday, Nov. 11, at 2 p.m. at MacArthur Memorial. A wreath-laying ceremony will take place at the memorial rotunda.
Mayor Kenneth Cooper Alexander, Ph.D., will provide remarks. The featured speaker is Maj. Gen. Joseph Reynes, Jr., USAF (Ret), Executive Director of the General Douglas MacArthur Foundation.
The annual Veterans Day Ceremony is proudly sponsored by the City of Norfolk, the MacArthur Memorial and the Mayor’s Commission on Veterans’ Affairs.
