[ARCHIVED] Norfolk Police identify man killed following shooting on E Olney Road

NORFOLK, Va. (NPD) – Detectives are continuing to investigate a shooting Thursday evening that left a man dead.

On October 30th around 5:22 p.m. officers were in the area of E Olney Road when they heard multiple gunshots. Soon after, the officers found a man who was suffering from a life-threatening gunshot wound in the 800 block of E Olney Road. 

The man, who has been identified as John L. Howard Sr., 56, of Norfolk, was taken to the hospital where he later died from his injuries.
