NORFOLK, Va. – The City of Norfolk’s Department of City Planning recently wrapped up a series of open houses to kick off Phase 3 engagement, where the Draft Comprehensive Plan was revealed and comments were gathered on draft goals and actions. Two additional methods to provide feedback to close out Phase 3 engagement will be available through July 21. Comments can be made on the Draft Plan both online or in-person at drop box locations across the City. The NFK2050 plan will serve as the vision of the future of Norfolk and serve as the City’s guiding document for land use planning, zoning and growth management. Plan recommendations chart a course for the City’s efforts in housing, resilience, historic preservation, economic development, mobility and transportation, as well as other topics. Throughout Phases 1 and 2, the NFK2050 team traveled across the City to meet residents and stakeholders where they are and collect input on various aspects of the plan.
