NORFOLK, Va. – Warmer weather means it’s kitten season for Norfolk Animal Care Center (NACC) and shelters everywhere. Tiny paws and whiskers are super adorable, but kittens require a lot of care that can be demanding on shelter space and resources. That’s where the community can help!
On Saturday, May 24, NACC and Friends of NACC are hosting a “Meower Shower” at Afterglow Brewing (2330 Bowdens Ferry Rd.) from noon to 4 p.m. This fun, family-friendly event will be packed with kitten cuddles, fostering opportunities and other great ways to make a difference.
“Meower Shower” attendees will be able to learn all about kittens, sign up to become a NACC foster family and see just how a little TLC goes a long way to help kittens grow into healthy, adoptable cats. Participants who aren’t ready to foster will still be able to provide support by enjoying food, vendors, live music, face painting, and fairy hair or by donating funds or foster supplies.
