The weather is getting warmer, and that means road work in the City of Norfolk and everywhere is ramping up. Road work means work zones and crews, so awareness is important!
Work zone awareness isn't just about protecting workers - it's about protecting everyone on the road.
According to the Work Zone Safety Clearinghouse, more than 800 people lost their lives in work zone crashes across the country in 2022— 85 percent of those fatalities were motorists or passengers.
We can all do our part to improve work zone safety for all!
