NORFOLK, Va. – The City of Norfolk’s offices, including libraries, The Slover and recreation centers, will be closed on Monday, Nov. 11, in observance of Veterans Day. The closures also include the Commissioner of Revenue, City Treasurer, Norfolk Courthouse and Norfolk Animal Care Center. Regular business hours will resume on Tuesday, Nov. 12.
There are no changes to trash, recycling and street sweeping schedules. Requests for bulk waste collection on Tuesday, Nov. 12, must be made before 3 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 8. To schedule a bulk waste collection, submit a service request using the MyNorfolk app, online portal, or call Norfolk Cares at (757) 664-6510.
The SPSA Norfolk Transfer Station (3136 Woodland Ave.) will be open 8 a.m. to noon on Monday, Nov. 11.
