Faith Martin is the Department of General Services' Gold Star Employee of the Quarter!
Nominated by Megan Hale, environmental sustainability manager, Faith received the award for the following reasons:
Faith excels in teamwork and is an excellent collaborator and communicator.
She led the facility work order software transition from Facility Dude to Asset Essentials, carefully considering and troubleshooting any possible scenario from training, documents and SOP to communicating the rollout with multiple departments.
Faith volunteers to support City initiatives from Meatless Monday to litter cleanups.
She seeks to improve processes by identifying the need and offering solutions.
She always responds accurately and thoughtfully to requests, is quick to support others in DGS and across the City of Norfolk, and seamlessly works to prevent and resolve issues.
She is flexible with her schedule when needed and can be relied upon to represent Environmental Sustainability, DGS and the City of Norfolk well.
Whether large-scale, one-time projects like the software transition or her daily tasks like utility bill management, Faith goes the extra mile with great attention to detail, care and kindness.
Congratulations, Faith!
