Energy efficiency is the art of getting the same or better performance using less energy – all while cutting utility bills for residential, business, municipal and industrial consumers.

Get ready for Energy Efficiency Week by taking part in two exciting events to learn how you can make a difference:

Watts Going Down: Virtual Energy Efficiency Day Lunch & Learn

Teams Meeting

Celebrate Energy Efficiency Day by joining the Environmental Sustainability Team and Energy Champions for an interactive virtual lunch. You’ll learn energy-saving tips for your workplace, play games and learn about Watts Going Down in Norfolk. Grab your lunch and tune in! Use this link to join on Oct. 2.

Energy Champion Meetup & Tour of Lambert’s Point Community Center

Oct. 4

10:30 a.m. – noon

1251 W 42nd St.

Wrap up Energy Efficiency Week by connecting with Energy Champions at Lambert’s Point Community Center. Discover how other departments are tackling energy efficiency, enjoy light refreshments and score energy-saving swag. After the meetup, tour Lambert’s Point Community Center, a LEED-certified GOLD facility, to find out what makes a building “green.” The meetup is from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m., tour is from 11:30 a.m. to noon.
