[ARCHIVED] Norfolk Public Library Extending Hours at Four Locations

NORFOLK, Va. – Norfolk Public Library is extending the hours of operation at its four anchor branch locations effective Aug. 5.

Jordan-Newby Anchor Branch at Broad Creek, Mary D. Pretlow Anchor Branch and Richard A. Tucker Memorial Library will now open on Mondays from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. The locations will continue their normal operating hours throughout the remainder of the week: Tuesdays – Thursdays, 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.; Fridays, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.; and Saturdays, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

The Downtown Branch at Slover will extend Monday hours from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., and will continue normal operating hours throughout the remainder of the week: Tuesdays – Thursdays, 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Fridays – Saturdays, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

All four locations will remain closed on Sundays. 

There are no hours of operation changes for the Sargeant Memorial Collection or neighborhood branches (Barron F. Black, Blyden, Janaf, Lafayette, Larchmont, Little Creek, Park Place and Van Wyck).
