NORFOLK, Va. – (NPD) Detectives have arrested and charged a 24-year-old man in connection with a residential burglary and shooting investigation that happened Tuesday night on Chesapeake Boulevard.
Around 9:35 p.m. on July 30th, police were called to the 6600 block of Chesapeake Boulevard for the report of a gunshot victim. When Officers arrived, they found a 24-year-old man, suffering from a non-life-threatening gunshot wound, and he was taken to the hospital to receive medical treatment for his injuries.
The preliminary investigation determined that the man, who was later identified as Javon C. Williams, 24, of Norfolk, had been shot by a resident after entering their home.
As a result of the investigation, detectives have charged Williams with burglary.
He is currently being held in Norfolk City Jail without bond. 
Police are not looking for any additional suspects related to this incident.
