NORFOLK, Va. (NPD) – An undetermined death investigation is now being investigated as a homicide.
On June 30, 2024, around 11:55 p.m., police were called to Commonwealth Senior Living located at 890 Poplar Hall Drive for the report of an unresponsive patient. When first responders arrived, the unresponsive woman, later identified as Cleo A. Loizides, 81, of Norfolk, was pronounced deceased at the scene.
Detectives charged Heather A. Cummings, 53, of Hobart, Indiana, and Clifton L. Cummings, 24, of Norfolk, with second-degree murder and conspiracy to commit murder on July 9, 2024.
Both are currently being held at the Norfolk City Jail without bond.
