Norfolk Parks and Recreation is delighted to collaborate with Norfolk FestEvents, Ltd., to bring residents Motown Mingle, one of three exceptional community events, to Five Points Civic Plaza and Park in 2024. These events will provide a pedestrian-friendly and alcohol-free environment, offering attendees the opportunity to enjoy live music, delicacies from food trucks, and engaging family activities.
Motown Mingle is scheduled for April 26 from 6 to 9 p.m. and will feature a performance by local favorite BJ Griffin Band, known for an appearance on America’s Got Talent. Additionally, attendees can indulge in a variety of treats from Latin 2 Soul, Yolee’s G-Dawgz, and Ben and Jerry’s while participating in fun family activities and arts and crafts.
Following this exciting kick-off, the event series continues with a Caribbean-themed event planned for July 26, and a football-themed event scheduled for November 2.
All events are free and open to the public and are rain or shine.
