NORFOLK, Va. (NPD) – Norfolk Police are continuing to investigate a single car crash that left a man dead.
Around 2:30 p.m., on April 6, 2024, officers responded to the 6400 block of N Military Highway for the report of a car that had hit a tree.
The driver suffered serious injuries and was taken to the hospital for treatment.
A passenger in the car, later identified as James D. Askew, 59, of Norfolk, was taken to the hospital where he later died from his life-threatening injuries.
The cause of this crash remains under investigation by the Norfolk Police Department’s Auto Squad Unit.
