The celebration continues with Keep Norfolk Beautiful Days on March 23 and March 24. Friends, families, sports teams, school or church groups, social clubs, fraternities/sororities – or individuals – can come together to clean up a street, neighborhood, community, beach or park. Keep Norfolk Beautiful provides all the training and supplies – just register at www.norfolk.gov/GACVolunteer or email knb@norfolk.gov.
Doing a little spring cleaning and decluttering around the house? Some items can’t get tossed in the regular trash. On April 6, Keep Norfolk Beautiful is hosting a Special Waste Collection Event at Azalea Baptist Church, 3314 E. Little Creek Rd., in partnership with Camellia Shores Civic League. Norfolk residents can drive-through, drop-off and properly dispose of hazardous household waste, electronics and plastics.
