Q: How did you benefit from meeting with a FinPath Financial Coach?
A: "My FinPath coach, Janet, was essential in helping me pay of my student loans. This is a goal I have been working toward for 15 years and just eight months of coaching helped me get there. She provided spreadsheets that we went over each month and guided me in areas to cut back, showed me how to use credit to my advantage, and served as a sounding board for me whenever questions or concerns came up, even outside of our monthly meetings."
Q: Why should other employees meet with a FinPath coach?
A: "I believe everyone can benefit from financial coaching, not just those who are in debt or planning for a large expense. It is so easy to spend money that we don’t see, and being made aware of where your dollars are going just makes sense. I’m in finance, and prior to my job with the City I worked in municipal budgeting for Federal agencies. I know about money, how to budget, and how to account for it. I make a decent wage and don’t have any overly large expenses, yet I still wasn’t able to step back and see my whole financial picture without assistance, and I’m grateful it was available."
