[ARCHIVED] Man arrested for auto pedestrian crash on Waterside Drive

NORFOLK, Va. (NPD) – A man has been arrested following an auto pedestrian crash on Waterside Drive.

On Saturday, October 29th, around 9:20 p.m., police were called to the 300 block of Waterside Drive for vehicle crash involving a pedestrian. When first responders arrived, they came in contact with the pedestrian, a 41-year-old-man, who was suffering from serious injuries. The man was taken to the hospital and is currently listed in critical condition. The driver remained on-scene.

As a result of the investigation, Orlando Z. Swinger, Jr. (Driver) was charged with 18.2-266, driving motor vehicle while intoxicated.

Swinger is currently in the Norfolk City Jail without bond.
