NORFOLK, VA – Not every hero wears a cape, but the men and women of Norfolk Fire-Rescue (NFR) fit the description every day. In addition to putting their lives on the line to save others, they also work with the community on fire prevention efforts, safety training and more. As part of this week’s National Fire Prevention week, NFR will honor several of their own for going above and beyond the call of duty during their annual awards and recognition ceremony.
The public is invited to attend the ceremony on Thursday, October 10 at 6:30PM at the Norfolk Fire-Rescue Training Center (7120 Granby Street, Norfolk)
