[ARCHIVED] Homicide investigation underway in Norfolk

NORFOLK, Va. (NPD) – Norfolk police are investigating a shooting that has left one person dead late Thursday night.

Around 11:50 p.m., dispatchers received a call for a gunshot disturbance in the 800 block of West 43rd Street near Colley Avenue. When police arrived, they found an adult man outside on the sidewalk suffering from an apparent gunshot wound. The man was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police have not released any other details surrounding this investigation.
